Peter
Witt was Clevelands street railway commissioner. While
serving in this office he designed a street car that
was all steel. It was a single operator.It was also
distinct in design, using a center door as an exit
only. The pasinger would pay the conductor at the
front on entry of the car. WHile this car was designed
for the city of CLelenand it was exported to many
cities around the world.
