Postage, Payment, Cancellations and Returns:
- Standard UK : £3.95 per order within the UK.
We send lighter parcels Royal Mail Letter or Packet
Service but high value and heavy items such as large catalogues,
freight cars and building kits will normally be sent by our carrier.
The carrier offers a 48 hour insured service to most parts of UK.
For very long, over 610mm and low value items we may have to double the
postal charge to cover the cost. This would only
apply to the likes of less than a full box of track, rolls of cork
etc.
- Magazines: These are charged at 95p per magazine
for postage.
- Microscale Decals: We charge
95p for up to
5
sheets that you order for postage.
- Dolls houses: All dolls houses are charged postage at
£8 per parcel (i.e. a house with two boxes would be £16) and sent via our carrier
as above.
- Overseas Postage : this is charged at cost with a
minimum charge of £5.00. Under 2kg weight we can send small packet
airmail which is fairly priced and quite quick. To many countries this can
often be insured quite cheaply too if you wish. Over 2kg we send by our
carriers International Service as appropriate. We hope to publish
standard rates for most European countries in the future.
- Payment : Credit card; debit card; AMEX; IMO, Postal Orders.
- Foreign Orders : please note that non EU orders are VAT free and
all prices shown here (except for books and magazines) can be reduced by 17.5% (
i.e. about one sixth less)
- Prices : We reserve the right to vary prices but what we
list should be what we have at the quoted price.
- Availability : In our lists we continue to show items which may be out
of stock but which we expect to get back in. For limited run items we
try to list only what we have in stock. We are quite
happy to order anything you need from the USA but have no control over its availability
and production.
- Cancellations : For these special orders (that is non list items which
we do not carry in stock) we would expect you to take these orders. After the
usual seven days from placing the order in which you can cancel in writing (letter, Fax or
e-mail) we will only consider accepting cancellations if we are able to cancel from the
supplier before he ships them.. For stock items we are happy to accept
cancellations at any time.
- Returns : if you have a problem with anything you receive give us a
ring so we can sort it out. Should return be necessary we would
expect you to let us know by phone and confirm in writing within seven days.
Goods must be received in the condition in which they were sent with all packaging and
securely wrapped. You willl be responsible for the return postage and we will
not be able to refund the sending postage costs. Restocking
charge is £10 per item.
- Part exchange : once we receive your part exchange your
goods will be despatched and the partexchange item immediately put out for sale. If
you change your mind we can not be sure the partexchange will not have been sold.
In that case we would reimburse the previously agreed value of the
partexchange item.
